We after all want to drive it only in that mode to limit use of gasoline. The range extender is there for less than 20% of the public's driving needs and many people will never use it at all except perhaps in cases of emergency. | Review: 2010 Toyota Prius a miser with new moves
While the efficiency of the Prius has never been in dispute, like many other cars from Brand T, its appeal as a driver's car has been... limited. For the third generation, Toyota hasn't given up on minimizing fuel consumption, but it has sought to make the Prius a bit more appealing on other levels. Now that the current version of the Astra is going to be replaced, perhaps it's time to remember the previous generation. This model didn't make it to the States but was quite popular in Europe.
