However, in many (actually most) parts of the country, actually finding ethanol at retail pumps is exceedingly difficult, if not impossible. E-Fuel technology now has a solution that allows users to produce and pump their own ethanol at home or work. The MicroFueler is an all-in-one ethanol production and dispensing system that takes prepared feedstocks in one end and pours out alcohol from the other. The unit includes a feedstock tank,  They won't look like the second-generation Prius plug-in pictured above, but Toyota has announced the first of its non-European leasing programs for its new PHEV (see here). |  SPRING HILL, Tenn. -- Two decades after General Motors Corp. launched Saturn as its import-fighting, small car division in Tennessee, GM has 2,500 workers at the Spring Hill assembly plant sweating, worried they might not get the call when the next experiment begins. "We are the small-car plant," said Cliff Goff, 53, a longtime employee at Spring Hill who has worked for GM since 1975. "We introduced ourselves to the world as the Saturn company that was going to build the small car in America and be competitive with the Japanese."  Mitsubishi Motors Corp. has priced its new electric vehicle at 4.38 million yen, or $45,660 at current exchange rates, and wants EVs to account for 20 percent of its global output by 2020. |   Now of course Fritz Henderson is at the helm. He has inherited a company that is in bankruptcy, and is charged with the herculean task of restructuring it into a leaner meaner four brand form. |   Detroit businessman Roger Penske's move to acquire General Motors' troubled Saturn brand and dealer network could be pioneering -- the start of a new strategy for selling cars and trucks in the United States, experts said Friday. On Friday, GM announced a tentative deal for Penske Automotive Group to purchase Saturn, a transaction that the companies said should be finalized this fall.  IndyCar team owner and Detroit businessman Roger Penske has an agreement with General Motors to buy the Saturn brand, it was announced Friday. The proposed deal could close in the third quarter...  GM will officially be selling the Saturn brand to Roger Penske for an unknown sum. |   The sale creating a new Chrysler-Fiat could close Monday afternoon, unless the U.S. Supreme Court decides to hear a last-ditch appeal from three Indiana pension funds. A federal appeals court said U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Arthur Gonzalez correctly approved the sale of most Chrysler assets to a new company led by Fiat. But the three-judge panel delayed the deal's formal closing until 4:01 p.m. Monday or until the Supreme Court says the sale shouldn't be held up any longer. As we stood beside the hardly green, lushly leathered convertible, I asked Ulrich Bez, chief executive of the very small British company, if he agreed with those who believed that the current turmoil in the automobile business would reduce makers to a few giants.  Not long ago, Ford's Premier Auto Group was filling the halls of a big office building in Irvine California. In recent years, Aston Martin, Land Rover and Jaguar were sent packing... It comes from an Onion-esque type website with a decidedly sharp take on GM's situation, with story headlines like "GM Kicks Dog, Takes Candy from Baby" and "GM Kills Electric Car, Five Others in Shooting Spree." |   On a recent episode of The Chrysler Files, customers who purchased Chrysler vehicles that were later officially certified as lemons were being reimbursed by the company with checks... that bounced. The snafu stemmed from the fact that while said claims were made before Chrysler's bankruptcy, after the automaker's Chapter 11 filing, the judge had to clear the funds to be paid from Chrysler's account. Since the judge hadn't cleared the funds, the checks were worth precisely zero dollars.  The sale creating a new Chrysler-Fiat could close Monday afternoon, unless the U.S. Supreme Court decides to hear a last-ditch appeal from three Indiana pension funds. At that time, the only part of the kit that wasn't included was the battery pack, but that's apparently been rectified. We made a quick call to Soundspeed and we learned that the base power pack included in the kit's $4,  Headquartered in Santa Monica California the new company stated its intentions to mass produce a pure electric sedan.
